Opening Status

Javivo MCR is an aesthetic clinic, running on a medical model by qualified healthcare professionals. We continuously review our policy as we have to act responsibly and weigh up the risks and benefits of treating during a global pandemic.

We are currently operating on normal opening hours following reopening on 12th April. Please note our safety procedures and advice before coming to the clinic. Prior to your appointment, you will be sent a Covid-19 form to check it’s safe for you to attend your appointment. We would be grateful if you can fill this out prior to attendance.
We are continuing to offer online doctor consultations and reviews for a selection of our services following the lockdown to minimise in-clinic appointments.

Our Covid-19 Policy

As a medically accredited clinic, we want to reassure you of our high standards of policies, processes and standards to keep you safe during this period.

To ensure the safety of our clients and team, we need you to keep in mind our health and safety procedures:

  • Covid-19 symptom check sent out via email prior to your appointment
  • Attend all appointment unaccompanied
  • Please download the NHS Track and Trace app prior to your appointment
  • Wash or sanitise your hands before entering the clinic
  • Wear a mask/visor, unless exempt and have a temperature check
  • Attend appointment 5 minutes early. In some instances, you may be asked to wait outside the clinic until your practitioner is ready to see you (one person waiting room policy).
  • Social distancing in operation where possible
  • Increased hand sanitation stations
  • Full personal protective equipment (PPE), to an NHS standard, for all our staff
  • Screen guards at our front desk
  • Infection Control Training for all members of the team

Attending Appointments

For our measures to be effective, we are asking for your compliance during this unprecedented time.

If you answer ‘yes’ to the following questions, it is essential that you reschedule your upcoming appointment:

  • Do you have a fever and/or a new cough and/or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste?
  • Do you additionally have any new symptoms that are not ‘normal’ such as (but not limited to); fatigue, body aches, breathlessness, increased fatigue, headache, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, nausea or diarrhoea?
  • Have you been in contact with anyone with a confirmed diagnosis, anyone who is self-isolating, or have you been contacted by the contact tracing system?

If you are uncertain if you should attend your appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us. Alternately, please use the NHS 111 symptoms checker or the latest government advice on Covid-19.

Covid-19 & Safety


If you have ANY new illness or are feeling unwell, even if it is not typical symptoms for Covid-19.
We advise all clients who are not feeling well, whether it is a cough, cold, runny nose, headache, sore throat etc, to cancel any appointments until you are feeling better.

If you live with someone with the above Covid-19 symptoms, or who has tested positively for Covid-19.

If you have returned from abroad recently, we ask that you reschedule your appointment to a date that is 14 days or more from the date of your arrival back to the UK provided that you are fit and well.

If you are not allowed to travel to the clinic due to the government’s local travel restrictions.

If we have to close for a lockdown, you will not lose any payments for booked treatments. All prepaid treatments will be carried out when we reopen. If we have to close, we will be extending the time which you can complete your courses e.g. from 12 months to 24 months.

We understand any lockdown closures may affect your treatment, particularly with laser hair removal. However, you must remember this period of closure is for your health and safety, which is always a number one priority to us. Our aestheticians and aesthetic doctors will work hard to get you back on track with your laser hair removal or skin journey as soon as we open.

We will continue doctor consultations for medical skincare and at-home skin peels, with home delivery for all purchased products. We can also do consultations to determine your suitability for our treatments, so we can get you booked in for treatment straight away when we reopen again!

Javivo will be available to attend to any medical emergencies, treatment complications and certain medical conditions, particularly if they have an impact on mental health.
