You will have a consultation with an aesthetic doctor to check it is safe for you to have treatment. Your doctor will go through all the details you need to know before having this treatment such as how it works, any side effects and aftercare. Topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) is applied before treatment for comfort. We provide you with free aftercare to use following the treatment to help speed up the healing process.
At Javivo, your safety is always our priority. We use a device called SkinPen, which is the only FDA approved microneedling device on the market (this means it has undergone lots of testing to make sure it’s safe and effective!) SkinPen is carefully designed to guarantee no cross-contamination between patients. Plus, it’s safe to use on all skin types!
For the best results, it is recommended to have between 3 to 6 treatments (depending on your skin concerns).
After the treatment, it is normal for the skin to look red (erythema) and feel tight. It will look a little like sunburn, but this will resolve in the next 24 hours.
After healing, your skin will look instantly fresher in the first week. But because the production of collagen takes time, we see the most skin rejuvenation at 6 months. Results are long-lasting and often continue up to a year!
