Boost your skin with Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are a new generation of skin boosting injectables to help stimulate skin cellular regeneration and repair. The perfect treatment to help skin look naturally fresh, hydrated and smooth. Dr Jaymi explains why we are very excited to launch this unique treatment at the clinic!

Polynucleotides, often referred to as PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide), have gained popularity in the field of dermatology and aesthetics for their benefits to the skin. A polynucleotide is a chain (poly = many) of nucleotides (the building blocks of DNA and RNA – the instructions our cells need to build new cells). Here’s how they work and effect the skin:

Cellular Repair and Regeneration: Polynucleotides promote skin rejuvenation by enhancing cellular repair and regeneration processes. When applied to the skin, they can be absorbed into skin cells and may help activate the synthesis of various growth factors, cytokines, and collagen, which are essential for maintaining skin health.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Polynucleotides have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce skin redness and irritation. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with sensitive or inflamed skin conditions.

Improved Skin Texture: Polynucleotides treatments can help with improvements in skin texture and firmness. This is due to enhanced collagen production, which can help improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Hydration: Polynucleotides can also have a hydrating effect on the skin. They are believed to help the skin retain moisture, which can result in a smoother and more supple complexion.

Wound Healing: Polynucleotides have been used in wound healing treatments. Their ability to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration may help wounds, including post-procedure wounds from cosmetic treatments, heal more efficiently.

Antioxidant Properties: Some studies suggest that polynucleotides may have antioxidant properties, which can protect the skin from oxidative stress and environmental damage.

At Javivo we use a brand of polynucleotides called Ameela®. Polynucleotides can be used to treat both body and face, including necks, décolletage, the delicate eye area, back of hands, abdomen, thighs, knees, arms, stretch marks across the body. We recommend 2-3 sessions, a few weeks apart.
